If I have never been to therapy before, what should I expect? How do I know if I should go, and how do I start?
I would tell a person new to therapy that they should start feeling comfortable with the therapist from the consultation. Therapy should not feel like talking to a stranger, but someone that you enjoy conversing about your deepest desires with. Therapy should feel like you are almost talking to a friend that can be connected, supportive and empowering.
