I have been helping people with issues such as obtaining a work life balance and a healthy stress level for about 10 years. In my previous career, I was a supervisor in the military, and dealing with work related challenges is something I always strived to help people with.
I work with people on a wide range of issues. The following are a few of my specialties (this list is not all-inclusive):
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Professional/personal role adjustments
Military or Law Enforcement Related Issues
If I have never been to therapy before, what should I expect? How do I know if I should go, and how do I start?
The first thing I would like to say is that you are taking the most difficult step, which is getting started. The first part of therapy is building a relationship between the therapist and the client, so we will just be getting to know each other until you are comfortable to open up. Then we will start to work on issues as a team, and we will use evidenced-based practice that has been proven to help people make life-long positive changes.
