Samantha Barkoff, LCSW

“Therapy is a space where you can talk things out without feeling like you said too much or that you are going to be judged by the person you told. It is such a unique place where you can “vent” about anything you want and have someone really map out what is going on and come up with ways to help you be the best version of yourself.”

I work with people on a wide range of issues. The following are a few of my specialties (this list is not all-inclusive):

  • Anxiety

  • Behavioral Issues

  • Relationship Issues

  • Depression

  • Life Transitions

  • Family Conflict

  • Life Coaching

  • Peer Relationships

Are there any philosophies or values that inform your work that I should know about?

I truly believe that having a judgement free space for someone is the core value of my work. Setting up an environment where a client can say anything honestly and truthfully is so important in the work that I do. Allowing the client the space to be completely honest can not only help them grow, but help them understand more about themselves than they thought was possible. It is so important that you feel safe and accepted in a space with a therapist.
