The concept of self-love is a mystery because you often default to a painful pattern of beating yourself up. Being productive is important to you but instead you feel overwhelmed and burnt out. You want to be in a connected flow with your partner but rather you are constantly at odds leaving you feeling lonely and isolated. Cultivating deeper relationships is a value to you but you feel disconnected, anxious and stressed. These and other of life’s great emotional impasses are what often lead people to therapy. I believe the most valuable impact therapy can have on you is a deeper understanding of yourself and who you want to show up as in the world. Through consistent, gentle, and thoughtful investigation of oneself, there can be considerable growth. The deeper we are able to go together, the more attuned you will become with yourself and others. I provide my clients with directive, empowering therapy aimed at challenging you to look at yourself in a more introspective and curious way. My clients walk away from therapy feeling inspired and motivated to make meaningful change in their life.  My main areas of focus include: entrepreneurs, entertainment industry professionals, gay men & couples.

How participatory are you during sessions?

I am actively engaged in session. I intuitively meet you where you are at and will work at your pace. I work relationally so am highly invested in our relationship being solid and open. I also feel that my role is to listen and make observations for you so we can make sense of them and decide if they feel relevant to your emotional growth.

From your perspective, what is therapy?

Therapy is a safe place for you to be open with your thoughts and feelings, free of judgment. A good relationship between the therapist and the client has the power to make a big impact on your emotional growth. Therapy is also what you want it to be, it's 100% about you and what you feel you need to explore. You are the expert.

What is the best part of the work for you?

Seeing people change incrementally over time is truly rewarding. It is an indescribable feeling to know that you made an impact on someone. In my previous career as an agency owner, I found that I was most skilled at fostering a healthy company culture and nurturing my team to be the best versions of themselves. This skill set is what drew me to therapy.

If I have never been to therapy before, what should I expect? How do I know if I should go, and how do I start?

The fact that you are reading this shows you may be ready. Therapy is about getting to know yourself more intimately and how you relate with others in the world. The work you do in therapy can lead you to evolve into the most authentic version of yourself. You are ready when you are ready.

From your perspective, what is coaching?

As a former talent agent turned business owner, I have mentorship and coaching hard-wired into my being. Unlike therapy, the approach can be more directive. I will be more open to giving advice, helping you come up with ideas and setting goals.

How should I prepare for my first session with you?

The first session is a way for us to begin identifying what is bringing you to therapy. It is also an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I usually tell clients not to prepare anything because it gives us space to explore where your head is at and what path(s) you want to begin focusing on.
