Jonathan McCormack, Integrative Practitioner

Message from Jonathan

I specialize in attachment disorders - anxious, avoidant, and disorganized. I use the Ideal Parent Figure Protocol, essentially a guided meditation, that allows you to build a new internal working model of attachment patterns along with parts work, IFS, and Integral Eye Movement Therapy IEMT to clear negative emotions.

Get to Know Jonathan

"Thanks to Jonathan for the IEMT sessions. The IEMT itself was carried out effectively - could observe emotionally charged memories as they became less immediate, more factual/long-term. But the interview process itself was extremely illuminating, asked questions that revealed insights on myself I didn't see on my own. I was reflecting on the interview process long after the session, good material for self-discovery and looking at how past patterns define current behaviour. Was given some useful strategies for dealing with current family challenges as well. A very kind and empathetic individual who gets to the heart of issues effectively, his attitude of acceptance/non-judgment was particularly helpful during this process."

From your perspective, what is therapy?

Ideal Parent Figure Protocol, Parts work, and other modalities actually change the original emotional patterns laid down in the brain, something called memory reconsolidation, as opposed to introspective talk therapy that simply creates awareness. For change to happen there needs to be a felt experience
