Message from Jessica

I work with families, couples, and individuals navigating the intricate realms of anxiety, depression, and relational dynamics. I am trauma-focused and collaborate with clients facing various crises and life transitions. My focus extends to those seeking support in the face of religious and family trauma, with a keen understanding of the unique challenges faced by Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI). Recognizing the vulnerability of my clients, I create a safe space where healing can unfold organically. By fostering an environment of acceptance and empathy, I ensure that every client feels seen and heard on their journey towards healing. I utilize various treatment modalities, tailoring treatment to the unique needs of the client. My commitment to creating inclusive environments reflects in my dedication to supporting you as you navigate and process your unique experiences. Whether you're seeking healing from past traumas or aiming for personal growth, I welcome the opportunity to collaborate with you on your path to well-being.

Get to Know Jessica

If I have never been to therapy before, what should I expect? How do I know if I should go, and how do I start?

*Should isn't a word I'm particularly fond of but, you can expect what we hope (as clinicians) a judgment-free, compassionate space and zone. You can also expect (especially if it's after a consultation call) time to get to know one another and the start of a unique, collaborative relationship towards your growth and goals. Someone might pursue therapy for a number of reasons: additional support, a life transition/situation, self-awareness, better communication and/or growth. If you've arrived at a point where therapy seems like something of interest to pursue--we encourage you "shop around" for clinicians, be open but clear about what you're looking for, take up the therapist's offer of a consultation until you've found a good and safe fit.

How do you approach diversity in the room or working with clients who may come from a different background than you?

I assume I know nothing and honor my client's expertise and experiences. I ask questions--especially for consent, and touch base with my client prior as to what is safe and appropriate for them.
