Message from Madeleine

I’m a New York City-based modern psychotherapist with a focus on life transitions, dating & relationships, anxiety, and self-esteem. As a young professional myself, I intimately understand the unique struggles that come with navigating life in New York as a 20-something in today’s world. I know how it feels to: - Be nervous before an awkward Hinge date - Struggle with work-life balance in a demanding job - Get ghosted by your situationship - Set boundaries with a challenging roommate - Compare your unfiltered self to flawless images on Instagram - Navigate changing friend and family dynamics as everyone’s lives evolve on different timelines I get it - navigating early adulthood in New York City is hard - I’m here to help. While I’m skilled in traditional therapeutic modalities like cognitive-behavioral (CBT) and psychodynamic psychotherapy, the “blank slate” days are over. I’m not the kind of therapist that simply listens, nods, and asks how that makes you feel. Instead, I share unique insights and challenge you to confront difficult truths. I help you explore not just the surface-level challenges, but the deeper emotions underlying them. I show up as my full, authentic, human self and simply ask that you do the same. Together, our relationship serves as the container to process your experiences, deepen your awareness, and unlock your highest potential. Choosing a therapist is a highly emotional and individualized process, not unlike dating. If you think we might be a good fit and want to learn more about working together, you can book a complimentary consultation call with me.

Get to Know Madeleine

From your perspective, what is therapy?

I believe therapy is an exploratory process, the main goal of which being to get to know yourself as deeply as possible. Together with your therapist, the relationship serves as a container to process your experiences, deepen your awareness, and unlock your highest potential.

What is the best part of the work for you?

The best part of the work for me is seeing clients witness their own progress. Those little moments when they're able to look back and say, “Wow, look how far I’ve come - I would’ve handled the same situation very differently 6 months ago.” I’m always proud of them, but it is even more special to see a client be proud of themselves and witness all of their hard work.
