As a Millennial or Gen Z woman, you may be grappling with questions about your identity and the meaning of life. Perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or navigating through major life changes such as graduating from college, starting a new job, or embarking on a new relationship. You may have also received a recent ADHD diagnosis, and it turns out that all those years of suffering from irritability, poor concentration, low self-esteem, and indecision weren't just depression. Whether anxiety, life transitions, ADHD, depression, or all of the above are getting in the way of you feeling healthy, empowered, and resilient, therapy can help you live a more balanced life.

I currently accept Aetna insurance at my practice. In addition, I’ve partnered with Headway to work on getting credentialed with Oscar, United Healthcare, and Oxford. By May, I hope to be ready to welcome clients with these insurances as well. I aim to make mental health care accessible to all. If insurance concerns have held you back from seeking support, know that I'm here to help navigate that process. As part of this effort, I'm offering a free ten-minute phone call for anyone who wants to ask questions about insurance. Your peace of mind matters to me, and I'm committed to ensuring you feel supported every step of the way.
As a naturopathic doctor (ND), I greatly enjoy working with people who are feeling “stuck” on their path to wellness, whether they are struggling with a chronic disease that has not been adequately addressed by conventional medicine, or they are someone who wants to optimize their diet and lifestyle so that they can live a long, fruitful, healthy life. In particular, I enjoy working with patients who are struggling with mental health conditions. Naturopathic medicine has many holistic treatment options for helping people with their mental health, however, many of these treatments are based on a biomedical model rather than a wellness model. NDs practice “root cause medicine”, meaning that rather than eliminating or merely suppressing someone’s symptoms, we try to remove the underlying cause of illness. Professional counseling is also based on a wellness model, and I specifically chose the counseling profession because it is in alignment with my existing professional philosophy as a naturopathic doctor and the general culture of the naturopathic profession. Some of the oaths that NDs take upon entering the profession include treat the whole person, prevention, doctor as teacher, and treating the root cause. Counseling is also based on a wellness, strengths-based model that emphasizes holism, prevention, and the therapeutic relationship. Part of my professional philosophy as not only an ND but also as a clinical mental health counselor is that everyone has the power to achieve wellness, and even people with chronic disease, deep-rooted mental health struggles, or traumatic pasts have the ability to heal with the right guidance and interventions. I wanted to choose a mental health profession that could be seamlessly incorporated into my work as an ND, and professional counseling was the best fit.
I’ve heard my clients say that they like working with me because I’m inviting, thorough, non-judgmental, and direct. I show up as my real, funny, nerdy, self and work hard to make sure that I am meeting you where you are at so that you can get what you want out of our time together. This means that I am an active participant in your care and hope that you will be too.
I am a dedicated advocate and compassionate practitioner, which means that I integrate my education with my lived experiences and bring my authentic self to patient encounters. I am a millennial, mixed race, secular humanist, first-generation United States-born woman who has lived a life that includes loss, trauma, anxiety, health issues, confusion, and struggle. Through my own healing journey and self-discovery, I've earned wisdom through life's challenges and have cultivated the ability to provide a gentle refuge for those who are also struggling. I am also a naturopathic doctor (ND), which means that I recognize the value of holism and the healing power of nature.
