Verified background check
Hello, My name is Melanie (She/Her/Hers), I'm here to be your compassionate guide through life's challenges, valuing and understanding your unique journey. I can help you through those big (and little) transitions in life, like you’re on your own for the first time in a new city, embarking on your college experience, your first job, or a new life without that person. Or emerging out of negative thoughts, a place of grief, or understanding who you truly are. There is nothing that we can’t walk through together. In our sessions, your safety, trust, and choices are my top priority. This means maintaining a welcoming and non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings. My approach is rooted in understanding and care, ensuring that you feel accepted and understood no matter your background or identity. I use a variety of methods to help you change negative thinking patterns and develop healthier behaviors. I combine therapeutic techniques with coaching strategies to help you build a more positive and empowering narrative for your life. Whether you're feeling burnt out, grieving a loss, or simply looking for someone to talk to, I’m here to support you through any challenge, every step of the way. Let’s talk! Contact me for a free initial consultation. I’m currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Empire BCBS, Evernorth, Optum, United Healthcare, Aetna, Anthem, UMR, and Cigna. I also work with out-of-network insurance.

We are all the product of our family, experiences, and worldview, so how we seek help and are supported should not be a one-size-fits-all solution. Your identity and how you view your concerns is the most important part of the therapeutic alliance.
I have worked with folks in various transitions—learning how to find themselves after a breakup or a divorce. Guiding someone through the death of a parent or loved one/pet. And moving individuals from adolescence into emerging adulthood and creating identities outside of their families.
Therapy provides a safe space for us to discuss emotions that we may not feel comfortable addressing in our daily lives. The therapist serves as a mirror, reflecting parts of ourselves that we may not be able to see clearly.
