Whether you are new to therapy or returning, finding someone who we feel understands and cares for us is hard. Each person has their own story and all of us have different reasons for seeking out help. I believe therapy is a safe place to share our stories, learn who we are, and develop effective skills to improve our lives. In therapy, I emphasize creating a nonjudgemental, empathetic, and welcoming environment. I believe that patience and trust are essential for healing, and through the therapeutic relationship clients can explore their inner selves. I utilize various techniques, such as trauma-based and attachment theories, to inform a personalized therapeutic approach for each client. I have experience with Relational Therapy modalities, CBT, DBT, and somatic and body-focused practices, and have worked with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, life transitions, as well as couples who are experiencing relationship struggles. I believe life is relational and often, our healing and challenges are not siloed to us alone. Much of our anxieties, trauma, and attachment are born from experiences with others - together, using empirical based and research backed methodologies we can work through these pattens that are causing emotional discomfort, pain, and suffering. I look forward to learning more about what brings you to care. Book your complimentary consult today to get started. I am in-network with most Aetna, BCBS, United/Optum, and Cigna plans. Please note: I do not accept Medicare and Medicaid plans at this time.

As a therapist rooted in social justice and intersectional values, looking at and examining macro issues is essential to my work. We live in a world were structural factors affect our everyday lives and as a white woman therapist I believe in addressing these within therapy. Having awareness of my positionally is necessary when working with all my clients, especially since many modern therapy approaches emerged in a Western world. As such, to truly help and understand the healing process, I am committed to anti-racist and anti-oppression practices, social justice orientations, and decolonization perspectives.
