Get to Know Sarah

How can you tell if I am benefiting from working with you?

I encourage feedback in relation to the techniques and practices that I incorporate into sessions. My only hope is that you get the help and support that you need and this is assessed often to ensure that you feel you are making the progress you desire.

Is there ever a time when you would encourage me to leave or graduate? Or how do I know when it's time to end or move on, or time to stay and explore more?

I feel that therapy is extremely useful and will be needed potentially at different times throughout life. When working with me, particularly with EMDR therapy, we set an initial treatment plan with the goal of releasing negative internal beliefs and emotional distress and creating new, healthy internal patterns. There tends to be a natural ending point that is different for everyone in regards to timing, however it is always a wonderful moment to recognize all of the hard work that you've done and it's time to end therapy!

Are there any philosophies or values that inform your work that I should know about?

I work from an integrative and holistic perspective where my work is informed by techniques that are mind-body in nature. Some of these techniques include mindfulness, yoga therapy and EMDR which is an extremely powerful technique to reduce emotional distress and eliminate negative internal beliefs. I offer EMDR intensives that are either 2.5 or 4 hour deep dives in negative internalized beliefs and create deep healing.
