The most important part of starting therapy is finding a therapist that matches your personality style, expectations and the goals you are looking to achieve. My extensive experience working with diverse presenting issues and populations has taught me the importance of collaboratively developing a tailored treatment plan for each individual. Whether you are working on a short-term goal and want efficiency and concrete results, delving into family and relationship dynamics, or simply want to learn more about yourself, there is a right approach for you! My patients describe my style as direct, warm and collaborative, and I value transparency and open communication in my work. I balance supporting you with where you are at with helping to envision your version of happier, fulfilling life and identifying ways to get there. Therapy can help bridge the gap between where you are now, and where you want to be and I would be honored to join you on this journey. Evidenced-Based Practice: What Works? Based on our first conversations, we will discuss what approach is the most effective way to reach your goals. For instance, someone looking for immediate relief from panic attacks might benefit from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while someone else might do better with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Regardless of whether you are looking to work on anxiety, relationship issues, depression, work stress, OCD or more, you can confidently know that we will be working with a therapeutic model that matches your unique needs . The Right Approach for You Some folks prefer concrete, tangible tools to change their life now, including homework and assignments. Other patients gravitate toward an exploratory therapy style where they can safely talk through their worries, knowing someone is ready to help them make meaningful connections. If you know which style works best for you, please let me know. If not, we will explore this together. Next Steps When you are ready to take the next steps, I encourage you to book a free 15-minute time where we can speak. If we both feel we are a good fit, we can schedule our first appointment within the next week. **Please note that I am not in-network with any insurance panels. Starting therapy can be an intimidating and scary process. Whether you are in a good place in your life and you're looking to fine tune some aspects of your life to feel even better, or you're currently experiencing depression, stress or otherwise feel stuck, we can find appropriate therapeutic tools for you. During the initial assessment we will collaboratively identify how success and a life worth living look for you, and together we will come up with a tangible plan to get there. Or, if you simply want to learn more about yourself, and you're unsure how to navigate that, we can tackle it together with careful guidance and self-inquiry. Irrespective of what your goal in therapy is, I'm going to support and guide you in navigating the process of personal growth and improvement, creating a safe space where you can freely explore your needs and wishes. I meet my clients where they are at and honor their stories and unique experiences. If you're not sure how to begin, the first step is starting the conversation and trusting that together, we will find the right path for you. I encourage you to schedule a free 15 minute time for us to speak.
The best part of my work as a therapist is the honor to be invited into another person's world and help them navigate the intricacies of their relationships, thoughts and emotions, building a strong connection that helps an individual to transform and achieve the life they want to have.
The length of treatment is truly different based on where you are currently at and where you are looking to go. I recommend working together for a full month (weekly sessions) before deciding if you'd like to continue working together. While some patients are looking for short-term support (2-3 months), others might find therapy beneficial over 6-12 months or longer. This is something we will openly discuss during the first sessions and circle back to across treatment.
