At Tona Therapy, we specialize in providing trauma-informed care with a focus on somatic practices to help you heal and grow. We work with adults from diverse identity groups, including women, young adults, people of color, and LGBTQ+ individuals. Our expertise spans trauma, dating, self-esteem, life transitions, and romantic relationships. What makes us unique is our compassionate, client-centered approach. We understand how trauma can impact both the mind and body, so we integrate somatic techniques to help you reconnect with your body and process past experiences. Our goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel fully supported and empowered. Together, we’ll explore your challenges, build resilience, and help you move forward with confidence. Whether you’re healing from past trauma or navigating life’s transitions, we’re here to support you with empathy, understanding, and holistic practices. At Tona Therapy, we’re dedicated to helping you create a fulfilling, authentic life rooted in healing and growth.

We are in-network with Aetna and out-of-network (OON) with all other insurance providers. If you choose to use your out-of-network benefits, our EHR system automatically generates monthly superbills that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. We’re here to support you through the process and can help answer any questions about insurance coverage.
Therapy is a collaborative process where you are supported in exploring your thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a safe, non-judgmental space. It’s an opportunity to better understand yourself, heal from past wounds, and develop tools to navigate life’s challenges. Therapy isn’t about giving you all the answers—it’s about empowering you to find your own path toward healing, growth, and resilience.
To prepare for your first session, take some time to reflect on what brought you to therapy and any specific goals or challenges you'd like to address. During our free 15-minute consultation, we’ll see if we’re a good fit. Your initial 90-minute session will dive into your history so we can understand who you are and what your needs are. We'll take it at whatever pace feels right for you—there’s no pressure to share anything you're not ready for. We'll also take breathing breaks as needed to ensure you feel comfortable throughout the process.
