Maybe you’ve been holding everything together on the outside while feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck on the inside. You may know something needs to change, but feel unsure where to begin, or worry that therapy will feel uncomfortable or judgmental. My goal is to make therapy a place where you can exhale, feel understood, and begin moving forward at your own pace. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, ADHD, autism, OCD, codependency, grief, and life transitions. I also have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent individuals, people with disabilities, and family members who are navigating these experiences alongside someone they love. My background spans both social work and education, giving me a unique perspective that informs my collaborative approach. I take the time to understand the whole person and tailor our work to what you need. Together, we can explore what’s underneath patterns like overthinking, negative self-talk, panic, or feeling stuck, while building practical tools to help you manage difficult emotions, strengthen your confidence, and navigate relationships and change. I use practical tools to help you notice and change unhelpful thought patterns, manage intense emotions, cope with stress, and make choices that align with your values. We may also explore how past experiences and relationships influence the way you think, feel, and respond today. I don’t believe therapy should feel one-size-fits-all, so we’ll find an approach that feels right for you, build on the strengths you already have, and focus on the goals that matter most to you. Above all, I want therapy to be a space where you feel genuinely heard, valued, and comfortable being yourself. If you’re looking for compassionate support alongside practical guidance to help you move forward, I’d be glad to connect.

Get to Know Stefanie

What is unique about the work you do, or how have you found your work to be different than your colleagues'?

I really take the time to listen to clients and to make sure clients feel heard, valued, and understood. I take a very gentle and empathetic approach while still working with you to achieve the goals you find most important to you. I incorporate a variety of approaches in sessions tailored to clients individual needs and work to build a trustworthy safe environment where clients can be themselves without judgement. I look at clients strengths and resources they already have and work to collaborate with clients when coming up with an approach to treatment. I look at the whole client picture and not just the diagnosis as I believe there is no one size fits all in therapy treatment. Furthermore I have a masters degree in education and use that to help people with disabilities and their families as well as to help to individualize treatment.

How can you tell if I am benefiting from working with you?

Clients typically can feel a reduction in anxiety and depression symptoms as well as relief because they finally feel understood. Clients are able to practice the coping skills I teach when symptoms of anxiety, obsessive thoughts, or depression occur and state that they tend to feel less discomfort and distress. I like to ask all my clients for feedback and to collaborate when setting goals and discussing treatment. We’ll discuss growth and progress that I see in session but also the client’s perspective on how they feel they have grown.

What led you to become a mental healthcare practitioner?

I was inspired to become a therapist after seeing my family receive therapy. I saw the impact that therapy can have through their experiences, from the tools they learned for navigating life to the comfort that they felt in having a safe space to share how they were feeling. I wanted to give others that same sense of safety and comfort when going through difficult times, allowing them to get to the other side of their struggles in a compassionate, warm environment. I understand the power of having a safe space to feel heard. I want people to believe in themselves and see the light that they already possess within.
