Abigail Finck, Coaching

Message from Abigail

I am deeply committed to transformation in this world as well as standing for each person's inherent power, potential, and greatness. As a leadership and life coach, I get to partner with incredible clients and help them uncover their voice and vision, break unproductive patterns, burn down the stories and structures that teach us to dim ourselves, discover what is possible in their lives, and witness what becomes available when they are awake in this world. I have always been driven by the opportunity to help others step into their power and create lasting possibility and impact - in their work, relationships, well-being, and lives. I hold a BA degree in Psychology and Studio Art from Gettysburg College and was trained on ontological coaching through Accomplishment Coaching and am a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation. In addition to running my coaching practice full time, I currently guest lecture at Columbia University and have previously worked in content strategy supporting individuals in the mental health and recovery space, as a Creative Director at a global education company, and helped spearhead the viral KONY 2012 campaign with Invisible Children. I look forward to supporting you in building a life that lights you up.

"For most of my life I have questioned my worth. This manifested in a lot of different ways with a recurring theme of finding myself stuck in undesirable circumstances. These coaching sessions supported me to see outside of myself and to recognize that I am not the sum of what I'm willing to endure. I have value far beyond what I can do for others and know now that I have a responsibility to show up, above all, for myself."

Brad, Client

"The trust and compassion and communication that you (Abigail) consistently establish made it easy to jump right in and explore what I’ve been nebulously seeking. I thought it was about my goals, which I did gain clarity on, and that was just a scratch on the surface - the real value and results were gaining the connection to my authentic self and the flood of unexpected transformation that comes with it. For me that was a change in my relationships with family, friends, coworkers, and myself, and being able to train my perspective and mindset when faced with a challenge with the ability to rethink it in terms of opportunity. And that was possible through the guidance and support of your coaching."

Christine, Client

"Abigail is an incredibly talented and insightful coach, thought provoker and listener. She is able to challenge my thinking and values while simultaneously acting as my biggest cheerleader. Abigail advocates for her clients with her positivity, support and patience."

Victoria, Client

How long should I commit to being in coaching, at least in the beginning?

I recommend when you are starting a relationship with a coach that you should work together for a minimum of 6 month, preferably 12 months. This will allow for a deeper experience and more powerful transformations/shifts in your life. Depending on you unique situation, circumstances, and transformation you are looking for I trust we will be able to create a plan that supports you best.

From your perspective, what is coaching?

I love this question. Coaching is all about partnering with clients ( hopefully you!) in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their potential - both personally and professionally. As an ontological-based coach, I am trained in our ways of being as people and I have seen how this work can significantly expand what is possible for individuals, families, and organizations. This coaching approach is highly effective because it creates powerful shifts at a deep level that ends up impacting all areas of your life. It has clients move into alignment with who they want to be in the world and into action from a more powerful place - which creates sustainable results.
