Hello, I'm Lorien and my passion in life is being my best self for me and others! Partly this involves coaching you fellow vocation professional’s to be EMP-owered through your own bespoke self development plan. Combining Emotional, Mental and Physical Wellbeing (i.e how you feel, think and behave) in this plan means you can learn to be your best self for you and others. This plan can include working toward your life goals and how to navigate through any challenge, problem and current life concerns. As the Integrated Life Coach of EMP - Wellbeing, I work with a range of clients who: ⟣Feel overwhelm and or uncertainty in specific areas of their life (for example confidence, happiness, career, health, communication and relationships). ⟣Want to achieve their life goals as well as make lasting change in their life and generally live a more happier and fulfilled way of life through understanding themselves better. ⟣Have exhausted self development, goal achieving or changes in their mindset and habits alone and have decided professional help is needed. ⟣Are referred and or choose to work with me post specific therapy / psychotherapy and or counselling and are in an Emotional / Mental / Physical stable state to begin re-building their lives. It is important for me to be clear that my Integrated Coaching Approach is highly effective for the "Worried Well", by this I mean those who currently experience some to high levels of Mental Health and Wellbeing concerns. The above situations can include any of the following to better understand together: ⟣Self reflection & Self development ⟣Goal Setting & Achieving ⟣Health & Wellbeing ⟣Confidence building ⟣Burn out & Career related stress ⟣Anxieties ⟣Stress management ⟣Conflict (Internal and external) ⟣Procrastination ⟣Motivation ⟣Limiting beliefs ⟣Personal Resilience ⟣Perfectionism ⟣Performance anxiety ⟣Imposter syndrome ⟣Grief & Bereavement (including pet loss) ⟣Fears (certain phobias) A key goal of my approach is ensuring we enjoy working together. "To know if I want to recommend a colleague other than having the pleasure to have worked along side them, I felt it suitable to experience being coached by Lorien!! The first couple of sessions felt odd, I had never really had the focus on me - normally I'm the one advising, mentoring and focussing on others. I started to enjoy the coaching sessions with Lorien because she made them seem more like an open chat with a close friend but kept me and things on track towards my goals. There were many revelations I learned about myself and how I can be more in line with what matters to me both in practice but also at home. She gave me space to think and express myself allowing me to become aware when I go off track and shy away from the thoughts and feelings that really matter. I realised that coaching gave me the opportunity to solve my own problems in a way that is effective and lasting - not being told how to do something for a change, which has given me freedom to take many actions that moved me to my goals instead and the sense of satisfaction I got from them. I learned what was important to me and how I am motivated around success. Her caring and warm approach made me feel like I am in a non-judgmental and supported space and this meant a lot to me. Thank you Lorien, I am looking forwards to seeing and hearing how impactful you are amongst other vocation professionals. I know who to refer my colleagues, staff members and friends to."

""Learning how I work and knowing what my strategy for all of my wellbeing has been a saving grace!! I have finally found the job I want to stay in, and stay in by choice!! After trying many self help books and general roadmaps on how to self care, or how to stay motivated, or what you need to know to be happy. I realised that none of them made sense or were for me. Working with a coach has given me the unique understanding about me and how I work, so I can now have choice and change in my life at home and at work. Thank you Lorien for being my coach!""

Michelle, Client

""When I first started to be coached by Lorien I was so nervous...I was thinking if I had done the right thing...I thought I knew what I wanted and who I was. Well 4 months down the line and I cant believe what I thought I knew! I have learned so much about myself and am so pleased I have a coach who is more than just a coach, she gives me the courage to be myself unapologetically and I am learning every day how to love myself more. So refreshing to have someone who really wants me to succeed and believes in me Thank you my Miss Coach!!""

Louise, Client

""Lorien is helping me build my confidence...I lost this after being ground down at work through a few unfortunate events. I didn't realise it was my confidence that was the problem, especially being one of the three men in the practice I work in. I am so pleased I said YES and got on that first call with Lorien, without her I would probably have changed jobs and ended up exactly where I was in minutes!""

William P, Client

""Lorien has an intuitive and empathic approach to coaching - she is a good listener, totally without judgement but she also held me firmly to account, never letting the conversations go off track or into the pit of self pity! Her style was empowering and inspiring. I was encouraged to look at my values - something I’d never thought of previously and gently encouraged to explore how I was currently living my life and whether I was genuinely living in a way that was congruent with my values. Having established this base to work from, Lorien walked me step by step through making changes in my life, we explored the way mindset can impact the experience of life and I was asked to question my thinking many times along the way. I began coaching mid way through the pandemic - a time that was very stressful both personally and professionally and during which I was finding it very difficult to see a future in a tangled and stressful web of obligations. Lorien helped me to find my way through this time - to set boundaries and to begin to set goals for the future and encouraged me to take tiny steps towards realising this future. She was generous with her time, she was skilled in helping me to find my own answers and I credit her with the position which I am currently in - happy and secure at work but with numerous other fulfilling strands to my life. Beginning coaching was one of the best decisions I have made in my life - Lorien is an inspiration not only in her ability to be present during out sessions, but also in her own life - it is very clear when working with her that she really walks the walk and our time together has encouraged me to do the same. Lorien is a natural coach - intelligent, strong and kind - I think her clients in the future will be extremely lucky and I cannot thank her enough for the start she gave me in my own coaching journey.""

What degrees do you have and what techniques are you trained in?

Certified NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Practitioner and affiliated with ANLP (Association of Neuro Linguistic Programming). Certified Personal Performance Development Coach and accredited Wellbeing Coach. Accredited DISC Personality Profiler.

How much do you share about yourself during our time together and why?

The very essence of coaching is that it is centred around you. We are working together as equals during our sessions, remembering I am there to fully support and facilitate you in your current situation and experience. I share 'me' in my bio and on my website, of course I am happy to share more through the questions you may have, but please don't be displeased if I only give brief answers or question your question! My focus is always around you.

How can you tell if I am benefiting from working with you?

Coaching is about EMP-owering you. The transitions in Emotional, Mental and Physical Wellbeing are not always tangible and that's why having trust and respect of one another in our work together means that we'll be able to establish if you are benefiting from coaching support. My clients that share their benefits with me often have feelings of relief, de-stress, calmer, certainty, understanding, self kindness, revelation, compassion, confident, empowered, supported, seen and valued. Some of my clients share that their physical benefits are more energy, able to do more, feeling healthier and looking healthier! The benefits I feel and see with my clients stem from their priority goal and as they begin to solve their problems I watch their benefits grow and flourish into other areas of their life.

Please share 2-3 anonymized examples of how the work can play out and/or look in the room so that I can form a visual or narrative of what to expect.

At present all my session are remotely provided - I will ask you what your choice is for how you want to experience them - through either voice and or video (phone or online platforms Skype / Zoom). The sessions are held confidential, and I encourage you to show up as you, all I ask is that you prepare for the session to minimise any possible distractions and have everything you need in an arms reach (water/pen/paper/comforters), and ensure you are in an environment that you feel comfortable in, and one that is safe (for example not driving). During the sessions, if requested or seen as appropriate, I offer Intentional Yoga Science techniques to help bring focus, clarity, calm and creation into the session. These usually include breathing techniques, being able to move around in your space, meditation and mini yoga flow.

Do you assign homework, activities, or readings for me to do between sessions? Why or why not?

For me this your choice! You may already have your own action plan you are committed to working through from our session, if you would like to have further work aimed around Emotional, Mental Physical Wellbeing through a variety of means and tools then I'm more than happy to provide you with such tools. For me personally this steps outside my value of pure coaching - because what worked for me or other clients, may not work for you...however one don't know this until one has tried!

How long should I commit to being in coaching, at least in the beginning?

This is up to you! In my experience clients that have very specific goals with a deadline, usually between 3-6 sessions, over 1.5-6 months are most effective. If goals are more orientated around self transition, self-discovery, current and future feelings, inner conflict or very large goals, which may or may not be firmly tied into belief systems, anywhere from 6+ sessions or more, minimum 6 months. The frequency of how often you want to be coached for me depends on how you like to work as an individual, both of these we can establish once we start working together. Always remember a wonder of coaching is change - so how long you need and how often you require, are why I adopt flexibility with my clients. Most commonly we start out at 2 weekly intervals and as we progress it becomes monthly.
