Message from Jennifer

Hello and welcome. My psychotherapy practice on the westside of Los Angeles focuses on adolescent social and emotional transitions into adulthood and adults wanting to make life and career changes. I offer a safe, open and receptive space for clients struggling with anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, low self-esteem, social anxiety, school, career and daily life changes and stressors. Together we will identify relational patterns and uncover obstacles that stunt growth and change. I work to empower my clients by developing their strengths and equipping them with strategies and skills to face new challenges with confidence and resilience. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques from psychodynamic, CBT, solution-focused, Jungian approach and narrative therapy in my sessions. All of these techniques are tailored specific for my clients' needs to assist them with living a healthier more authentic life. I offer in-person, video or walk and talk sessions. When you are ready, feel free to call me to set up a free 15 minute consultation by phone.

Are there any philosophies or values that inform your work that I should know about?

"I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become."- Carl Jung. I believe everyday is a fresh start. Create a new narrative for yourself. A narrative free of worry, anxiety, depression and struggle. Together we will strive to develop the person you want to become and overcome those obstacles that cause stagnation and unhappiness.

From your perspective, what is therapy?

Therapy is the relationship that develops between two people. During this relationship trust, communication, boundaries and a safe space will provide you with a chance to express inner thoughts and emotions, reflect, acknowledge unhealthy patterns, and change behaviors. The goal is to emerge with better relational, personal and coping skills for a successful and mentally healthy life.
