If I have never been to therapy before, what should I expect? How do I know if I should go, and how do I start?
The beginning of therapy is a process of getting to know each other and starting to get comfortable. We’ll talk lots about what your life looks like now, how you spend your time, what is important to you, and significant experiences from your past. We will talk about what has you interested in therapy.
There are lots of things therapy can be helpful for; a significant life change, a relationship (even one that’s going well), a past experience that is sticking with you, feelings that are overwhelming or hard to manage, even just general life stress.
