I work with high-level thinkers including artists, academics, and professionals, who are accustomed to achieving but find themselves at a crossroads. Whether you’re navigating a career pivot, the complexities of parenthood, or a deeper existential crisis, I help you move beyond therapy speak to find genuine clarity. Like any meaningful exchange, some sessions will feel light and energizing, while others will be more challenging and deep, and shades of everything in between. My approach is integrative and outcome-oriented. I blend psychodynamic insight with behavioral action to ensure our work leads to tangible shifts in your daily life. I am particularly comfortable sitting with clients in the grey areas of life—spirituality, identity, and the unique pressures of success. I often joke that I’m trying to work myself out of a job. My goal is to help you right your ship so you can continue your journey with confidence. If you’re looking for a therapist who is interactive, direct, and focused on values-aligned growth, I look forward to connecting.

In my opinion, the mechanism by which therapy works is the trust built between patient and clinician. For each individual, that can mean different things: building enough trust to receive difficult feedback, building trust to share something shameful, or even the simple act of building trust out of nothing. These can all be the mechanisms through which healing happens. I believe a therapist should be a mirror that reflects back who you are—the good and the bad—and then helps you change what you see. The mere act of looking requires great trust, as does allowing someone to help you transform into the person you previously could only dream of becoming.
I have a few big-picture philosophies that guide my work: 1. I am an expert on mental health, and you are the expert on you. Together, we will get you where you want to go. 2. Mistakes are opportunities for growth rather than signs of failure if you approach them with curiosity and compassion. 3. Insight without action is just trivia; action without insight is often aimless. I believe the most effective therapy bridges the two.
Because I believe therapy works by building a trusting relationship between clinician and patient, I don't think a patient should waste their time white-knuckling it through sessions that don't feel like a good fit. I strongly believe that if you don't think you click with your therapist, you should move on quickly. Similarly, I don't accept patients whom I feel aren't ready to change. To ensure the correct fit for both of us, I offer a 15-minute fit check at no cost. Once fit is established, I believe clear therapeutic goals should guide the work. This means we focus on specific outcomes to ensure your time is spent effectively, allowing us to track progress and determine when you have reached your desired destination.
